What is the difference between O-ring dynamic seal and static seal?

The analysis of O-ring dynamic seal and static seal is […]

The analysis of O-ring dynamic seal and static seal is as follows:

Seals are divided into two categories: dynamic seals and static seals; static seals can be divided into three categories: gasket seals, rubber seals, and contact seals. The dynamic seal is divided into two categories: rotary dynamic seal and reciprocating dynamic seal.

1) Static sealing: According to the size of the working pressure, static sealing can be divided into medium and low pressure static sealing and high pressure static sealing. Medium and low pressure static seals are usually made of soft materials, while high pressure static seals need to use materials with higher hardness.
Taiwan's Xumeike manufacturer mainly produces Taiwan imported o-rings, star-shaped rings, combined gaskets, rubber balls, ED seals, TC skeleton oil seals and other products. Products are widely used in industries such as automobiles, electronics, machinery, chemicals, aviation, and shipbuilding.

2) O-ring dynamic seal: According to whether the seal is in contact with the relative moving parts, it can be divided into contact seal and non-contact seal. Under normal circumstances, the sealing effect of contact seals is better, but limited by friction and wear, it is suitable for occasions where the sealing surface line is low. In the contact seal, according to the contact position of the seal, it can be divided into circumferential (radial) seal and end face seal.

End face seal is also called mechanical seal. Non-contact dynamic seals include labyrinth seals and dynamic seals. The former uses the throttling effect of the fluid in the gap to limit leakage, and the leakage is relatively large. It is usually used in occasions where tightness requirements such as inter-stage sealing are not high. Dynamic seals include centrifugal seals, floating ring seals, spiral seals, etc. It has high sealing performance, but it consumes a lot of energy and it is difficult to obtain a high pressure head. Non-contact sealing, because the sealing surface is not in direct contact, the starting power is small and the service life is long.
